About The Role

Base Location:

Hadyard Hill Wind Farm, South Ayrshire.

Salary:

£28,831 – £35,194 depending on skills and experience + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern:

Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

As a Wind Turbine Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a key role working with a team of Technicians who take pride in the operation and maintenance of the SSE Renewables Onshore fleet.

Some of your main accountabilities will include;

Utilising information from our maintenance management system to perform scheduled maintenance and fault rectification on our fleet of turbines, ensuring they are operating at their optimum capacity.

Working alongside other members of the team to deliver wind turbine maintenance for SSE Renewable Operations driven by four key performance measures, SHE, Capability, Quality and Cost.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have;

A minimum of NC or SVQ Level 3 qualification in a Mechanical/Electrical discipline or equivalent, and to have served a recognised apprenticeship.

Demonstrable experience of servicing, fault finding and repairing of Wind Turbine Generators or the equivalent experience within your current sector.

A current GWO basic training certification would be highly beneficial.

Familiarity with the application and use of safe systems of work, including working in accordance with Wind Turbine Safety Rules.

To ensure the site is operating efficiently throughout the year, you may be expected to participate in a scheduled standby rota. If you do participate, its expected you would be required one week in four. Additional payments relating to this will be available.
