Role PurposeManaging the Syngenta Crop Protection approval applications within regulatory guidelines. This individual will plan, achieve, maintain and defend approvals for Syngenta Crop Protection products in the UK and Ireland, thus enabling marketing to meet their objectives in compliance with the relevant EU and country statutory requirements.

Accountabilities

Liaise effectively with regulatory authorities and ensure that approval applications are progressed in an expeditious manner by prompt response to queries.

To maintain a current awareness of regulatory matters and ensure current requirements are followed in approval applications.

Provide regulatory expertise and foresight to the business. Keep regulatory and business informed on regulatory changes and emerging issues which require proactive management.

Be able to work in close relationship with business and marketing and challenge them as appropriate.

Be fully conversant with data requirements for pesticide approval in the UK, Ireland and Europe.

Be fully conversant with all regulations which have an impact on pesticides and biostimulants.

Understand key agronomic and commercial issues.

Be able to review and concisely summarise scientific data.

To mentor and assist other Registration Managers when necessary.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

A proven background in Regulatory Affairs, preferably involving pesticides and/or biopesticides.

Hand on practical expertise in Registration Activities.

Experience on new technologies / biostimulants would be appreciated

A degree in Science, HNC or equivalent work experience.

Demonstrated strengths in communication, self-organization and problem solving and developed negotiation/influencing skills across different cultures.

Additional Information
